jade empire won't launch on windows 8.1 pro, launch closes before running

Jade Empire: Special Edition won't launch on Windows 8.1 pro using Origin App, launch stops in 2-5 seconds before running

Hey @MakopoRosh can you find your install folder and from there ensure that you are launching the .exe as administrator.

Do you see an error message of any kind or is it just a black screen followed by a return to the desktop?

No error message/code, it syncs to drive, then attempts to launch but then stops, no black screen, the origin app disappears and then comes back again

Hey @MakopoRosh can you try running the game in compatibility mode and ensure that when launching the game and Origin you are doing so as administrator.
