My Wreckfest is stuck on Finalizing when i try to Run the game

I bought this game yesterday and I tried to start it up 20 plus times!! I tried everything restarting my computer, running as an administrator, etc.. But it still wont work and my buddy is having the same problem. I cant seem to find someone who cares to help so I would really love for someone's help fixing this or to just let me refund the damn game cause right now I feel scammed out of 40 dollars

Wreckfest gets stuck on Finalising after download, the client then proceeds to re-download the game from scratch.

Hey all - Just wanted to update you on this issue. There is a master thread about it in the Origin Access forums, and the issue has been escalated to the team for review. (I didn't move all of these posts because I had some troubleshooting ideas that I had hoped to work through beforehand)

Officially, this issue is still in review. However, there is a suggested workaround from a couple of users that sounds like it works if anyone would like to try it.

The original workaround is at this post: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Access-Subscription/Issues-installing-Wreckfest/m-p/9264527#M16619 This involved running the exe from the installation directory via the command prompt. It should work to launch the game, but you'll have to do all the steps every time you want to play

Another user posted the steps for making a shortcut that will automatically do these steps: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Access-Subscription/Issues-installing-Wreckfest/m-p/9264870#M16626 For this one, you would start Origin as usual, but then launch WreckFest from the shortcut (instead of from Origin). 

I wanted to bring these to your attention in case you want to try either workaround. If they work, please click the +XP button to give the players who posted these workarounds to show your appreciation. Regardless of if they work or not, please click "Me Too" on the first post and follow the instructions in the accepted solution post to generate an Origin Error Report and post it for the team. Hopefully, they will identify & fix the error soon, but a workaround in the meantime will at least allow you to play the game

Wanted to update everyone - they recently pushed a fix that solves the error about WreckFest install never completing.

Update Origin if prompted and you should be able to finalize the install now. If you have any issues, remove Wreckfest from your library & then reinstall.
