Why can a player not access their boosts?

On King of the Course Golf, both my Smartphone and Tablet have multiple boosts that I have no access to. Why does the computer decided what boosts a golfer needs as more often than not the player hasn't got that boost. There are many challenges that multiple different boosts could be used on but they are never allowed to be utilized. This is a definite flaw in the game and should be corrected so the player has better control and can choose boosts that best suit the challenge.
