Syndicate 2012 - blindness bug

So everything went well until I reached part 13 Betrayed. After the first kill the screen goes blindingly bright so that I can't see anything. Restarting the check point as well as the game didn't help. Any solutions to this bug? It's game breaking.

Thanks for the reply!

Sadly circling back didn't help at all. It was all the same at the same point.

 

But I googled a console command that turned off the blur and made me see again:
xr_effectmodels 0
(The command console is accessed by using Ctrl+Alt+~)


So everything worked out fine in the end! =)

Hi, @paraguay_guarani 

 

Were you able to figure out a way to get passed that point? I don't see any other reports similar to this and it's possible the save file was corrupted from that last checkpoint. Are you able to complete it from another save point or start part 13 over?
