Spare Parts no online server

I just downloaded a demo on the xbox 360 for the Spare Parts game with the understanding that it was a multi-player online game. It indicates it as such on the xbox 360 so I downloaded and enjoyed the demo.. and decided I wanted to purchase the actual full version game. Only to find out that the game no longer supports the online servers, only after doing my own web research about this.

I paid $9.99 to Xbox to download this full version and they have directed me to contact EA games to figure out a solution so here I am.

Unfortunately the online services have indeed been shut down for this game, as announced over here: http://www.ea.com/1/service-updates

As far as I am aware the single player mode should still be fully functional, only the coop multiplayer does not work anymore.
