KOTOR 2 crashing after character customization on PC.

As the question states, the game crashes after character creation. I have looked into this and the most common response I have seen is to turn off frame buffer effects. The game doesn't give me the option to turn it on. I've also tried to run as administrator but that doesn't change anything. Any advice for what to do next?

also try run with the compat for windows 7

I moved your message as KOTOR 2 and SWTOR aren't the same game. Hopefully @proxos666 's post helped you!
