Can't install or play game using win8 os system. Is there a fix for this?

If there is, you chose the wrong place to ask (this had been published in the forum reserved for website questions here at AHQ).  An administrator here has moved this, and connected your question to an existing message thread here.  However, I really doubt that a 15 year old game can be played on a modern PC without tons of special tweaking.

Is it possible for EA to update current or create new Janes Combat Simulators.  I was a hardcore fan of those games, and played 688i and AH-64 Longbow all the time.  There have never been any games like them since, and to use them requires keeping an old PC around. (less complicated that way).  I know there are others like me.  Even if it is nothing more than taking the old games that EA owns/published, and bringing them up to snuff for current OS's would be a help.
