I have been trying to get this question answered for over a year. It is really a research and development question. I play the old old PopCap game, Feeding Frenzy 2. I play it on a very old, unstable ideapad. I have probably played 500-1000 games. I play the timed version and my high score is about 2,400,000. In the last two years, the entire game at all levels has been getting harder. If I get a high score or close to a high score, the change is even more dramatic. Sometimes the change is subtle,sometimes quite dramatic. I suspect that transferring the program from storage to RAM, running the program hundreds of times, on an unstable platform, is causing the program to accumulate errors that are making the game harder. I am suggesting program drift similar to genetic drift in biological systems. Does anyone think it is possible? Is there some other explanation? How can find out if any developer or researcher wants to take a look at my computer?
