Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince closes on startup

Good evening! I used to have Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on my old laptop (which also had Windows 10) and it worked perfectly. Now, on my new laptop, when I go to start it I see a black screen and then it closes. Can anyone help me?

Hey @ManosP97 the best thing to do is to run the game in compatibility mode and it's no harm downloading the DirectX install from when the game was released.

With older games such as this, you can run into a number of issues when trying to play on a modern system and in many cases, it's simple trial and error that will serve you best when trying to fix it.
