Installing and activating mods in dragon age 2

I've been trying to use mods in Dragon Age 2, but I read the instrutions in the mod and follow them, but the mod doesn't work.  What am I doing wrong?

There is no official support for modding DA-2, and there was no forum for it at Bioware's Social Forum site.  I think you should be looking for help at Nexus, not in here.

Adding to Gorath's good advice, here's an article on the Nexus that might be helpful. 

It was written for DAO, but most of it applies equally well to DA2:
