battlefield bad company 2 vietnam: Key wont work

Ive bought Bad company 2 aswell as the vietnam DLC on Steam during the summer sale. Ive been given a key, it wont let me paste the key and everytime i enter the key it says 'account cant log in, please try later'.

Ive typed the key in 100 times correctly it just refuses to acknoweledge it! Has anyone else had this problem?
