Information on EA titles hosted by GameSpy
Our friends at GameSpy have ended all hosted services for games, which will affect the online multiplayer aspect some of our older titles.
Due to technical challenges and concerns, we do not have a solution to keep these services up and running at this time, and online services for EA games on the GameSpy platform have been closed down at the end of June 2014.
We know some of these games are still fan favorites, such as Battlefield 2, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2142, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and the Command & Conquer games. We are still investigating community-supported options to preserve online functionality for these titles, such as multiplayer. We are still investigating a range of options to restore official online functionality and multiplayer gameplay for these titles.
Currently, you can join multiplayer matches for most of these titles using services provided by GameRanger. More details on their services are available atwww.GameRanger.com. You can also still play via Direct IP such as this example for Battlefield Vietnam hosted on http://www.helloclan.eu/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=6535.
You can find more information on this in the full article, at ea.com, and find the full list of impacted games on our Online Service Updates page.

BF2142 online multiplayer continues with GameRanger
There are quite a few questions about this already. You can continue to play Battlefield 2142 (as well as Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, and Battlefield Vietnam) on GameRanger.
