Battlefield Hardline Episode 1 Bug

I just bought this game on Xbox 360 and at the part where they ask you to save Tyson after scanning, where you need to arrest 2 goons. After flashing my badge, they attacked me and I got killed instantly and could not even arrest them. I tried re installing but to no avail. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I am having the same issue on PC, yet after 8 years they still haven't fixed the issue? I reported it to them and all I got was an email in Cyrillic. I am AMERICAN and speak ENGLISH. Go figure. Won't ever buy another EA game.
