Battlefield 2 Modern combat ps2 Dedicated server

I came across this topic to ask EA to release the files to create dedicated servers for PS2

Battlefield 2 Modern Combat is no longer a supported EA title, thus updates or additional content will not be available. We're not aware of any plans to release game files for this title to older platforms as the team has moved on to focus on newer Battlefield titles.

If it is no longer an EA supported title, could this become a community supported title? I am in regular communication with people who miss this title enough to source funds to host a server. If it is for reasons of intellectual property, what good is it serving EA to be holding on to a dead game that the community wants to see alive?
Best regards,

Matt

We're not aware of any plans to make this game community supported or remastered. We appreciate your dedication for this title though.

@EA_Blueberry What about a port of the Xbox 360 version? That could be made backwards compatible with the Xbox One? Might be a cheap way of getting the servers back and earn some money in the process, everyone is happy?
