[Battlefield 1943] Unable to Connect to Xbox Battlefield 1943 [ Edited ]

Dear Sir,

I have purchased Battlefield 1943 for my Xbox 360.  Everytime I try to play the game, the Xbox states "connecting" - but never actually starts the game.  I have tried logging on using different EA logins, I have also tried reinstalling the game, but nothing seems to help.

Please can you advise what can I do to play the game?
