Update stuck on preparing

I'm updating Apex Legends but it stops at 8.46GB / 24.95GB  and says it's preparing.

Hey @lacuNa4 can you ensure that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open.

The ports to open are:

• TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
• UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.

apparently, others are having this issue too if you google 'apex legends update stuck on 8.46 GB' and on a Reddit post someone said to go In Origin > My games> right-click on Apex> Repair. Restart Origin and update. i am currently doing this right now but im pretty sure it deletes the whole game which sucks if this is the only method to get around this.

Update...

Verifying the game crashed Origins, restarted Origins and started verify again and it worked, seems like no stats were lost, not that I had many.

how did you solution dis finally?

for me worked with right click on game and repair option

than download started

Hey @IamTHEwripper try clearing the Origin cache and see if that helps out.

I have done the same repairing, but after that it started downloading more 15GB update, is this happened to you too? What should i do then?

I'm at 1.44 gb of 25.63 for days.

I only have this issue with Respawn games T2 and Apex.

Hey @Drunk3nShaman and @chinzee123 did you try the steps posted above?

If not can you open the ports and disable your anti-virus and firewall to see if it helps.
