Same here. I have repaired the game (no issues found) and tried manual update (tells me it's already up to date). GameVersion.txt is still showing 1.99.305 and a datestamp of 9 August. iMac has been rebooted, Origin has been restarted multiple times.
I'm running macOS Ventura 14.5.1, and Origin seemed to do an update when I launched it this afternoon (I got prompted for my admin password to install the helper app anyway).
Not sure if it's relevant, but I was one of the people who got stuck while updating to the July patch, when the update kept throttling down to negligible speeds and then giving up entirely. I was also playing the game at the time the patch was released yesterday, so assumed that I didn't get notified for it then because I had the game open. Was a little more surprised not to get prompted for it today.
Client_Log.txt attached.

When Sims 4 was made free, there was a day when for some reason I had to download the free version when I already had the Digital Deluxe version installed. My Origin library shows both versions even though they point to the same files on my system. I noticed while I was trying to figure this out last night that when it updates the free version, it correctly gets me to the new version, but then it thinks Digital Deluxe needs an update, and that version sends me back to the 1.99 patch. For now I've got Origin running Offline so it doesn't keep running this loop.

Hi, I play the sims 4 on Mac and I have all the DLCs and no mods nor cc. Latest update (5 September 2023) does not appear in my origin. I have repaired the game, restarted the computer and also origin and I have cleared the origin download cache. Still no luck: origin keeps telling me my sims 4 game is up to date (it isn't, I can see in build mode that there is still only the one kits icon in the search drop down menu). Never encountered this issue before. Any help is much appreciated ![]()
