FIFA20 crashes on startup

FIFA 20 crashes on startup after clicking "Play" on the launcher. It  starts up, shows the screen and then crashes.I changed the DIRECTX_SELECT=0 from from 0 to 1 and from 1 to 0 both and in both cases it crashes. All drivers are updated. It did launch and I played a game once and but it feels like it just ran out of the blue once.System is 980Ti GTX, 16GB ram, i7 6700k

dxdiag is attached.

somtimes it runs fine when I click play on the laucher. Essentially like 1 of 5 times it runs fine... Rest of the time it crashes on launch

I have also tried clearing origin cache. Same issue.
