I've Tried R&D mode and it didn't help much but there was a bit of improvement (like i said not much)
I don't have the effort or time to edit that spongebob meme so have this since I can't upload it. hopefully this gif works
seriously, I'm only using your service to download my games and to get updates for them. If Bioware left EA tomorrow, I'd follow them.
Also @EA_Darko I tried that and the "hit download game, pause the download and move the game folder into the directory trick" and it doesn't work. One should not have to do extra work to verify a game. It should be as simple as:
Step 1. Change directory to where the games are already installed.
Step 2. Let the client scan the folder and run a short verification and you're done!
It would be less congestion. The fact that you have IT personal chiming in on this thread catching EA throttling speeds on full games or updates is embarrassing, and lying about not throttling speeds is even worse.

Can you please stop throttling my download Origin? For gods sake. Do you NOT want us to play the games you provide. First I am sitting at 28mb/s download and going along nicely. Next thing I know I am at 500Kb/s.... and it stays there....like what the heck? How can your service be so so poor. I am an Origin Access member and will NOT be signing up again come my renewal period. This is unacceptable and the fact you are dismissing it is telling. I guess that is what you get from EA though.
Oh and here is a screenshot of my download speed right now on fast.com
And here is your "download" speed, artificially throttled for a paying customer:
Thanks EA!!!

Just to ensure I don't get slapped with a "please refer to these steps to assist you."
This is my internet speed. https://gyazo.com/eebf7dd5b16575a86c7f953f1a2f2701
That was taken while the installation is still running at 50 KB/s in the background.
*Slow clap*

Don't worry dude. I am getting the SAME thing, they don't really care. I was getting 28mb/s solid, now I am being throttled at 500KB/s....yup! Great service right there. I actually watched it drop from 28 to 500... This was AFTER it had completed a download and gave me an error saying the folder didn't exist. THEN it started the download all over again....so yeah. Good job EA!

1000 mb/s band, stated the BF5 update at full speed for ~70% of the download, now it bounces between 500 kb/s and 2 mb/s. No throttling you say?
