" too many computers have accessed this accounts version of DisplayName field missing from registry. recently. Please try again later "
I've been getting this error for longer than 24 hours now. Spoke to Live chat and a manager at EA support, both told me to wait 24 hours but that hasn't worked.
I had the game installed for 9 hours and played it for a few games. Switched it off, came back and got the error message. Apparently they believe its been used on 5 or more computers.
Has anyone found a solution to this ?
I dont use VPN
I havent changed any hardware
Reinstalled origin
Repaired game files
Removed all trusted devices on my account to start fresh, (manager told me this would resolve it in 30 mins, Obviously it didn't)
Its a joke, I pay for a game and you cant even play it.
EA ended up putting the phone down on me because they have done everything they can do...

Hi again @OwnDizzzld
Look what he has to say @Straatford87and other players in this case https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/fifa-16-Too-many-computers-have-accessed-this-account-s-v...
I guess, with little patience (24 hours) and without accessing the game at this time, I think you'll solve the issue.
My Opinion is no more important or right than yours.I'm a gamer like you, trying to help you (i'm not an EA employee).

Hi @OwnDizzzld
You can try tese steps:
Make sure Time/Date is correctly set in your machine.
Log Off Origin.
Clear Origin cache https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
Delete temp files: open the Start Menu and type %temp% in the Search field or click in the Run option in the Start Menu and type %temp% in the Run field.Press Enter and a Temp folder should open. You can delete all files found in this folder, and if any files are in use, they can be skipped.
Clear DNS cache https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-flush-dns-cache-for-windows/
Clear the browser cache: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clearing-your-browsers-cache
Clear hosts file http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034
Restart your machine.
Log On Origin.
Go in Origin / My Game Libary, right click on game icon select Repair and Update Game.
I wait your feedback.

Hi mate,
Yeah I've tried all of this as well. Nothing fixes it.
Im sure EA server side, but tbh i dont think they know what it is themselves.
Anything else i could try ?

@OwnDizzzld You might want to consider changing your Origin password ( that's what I came to my mind now)https://help.ea.com/en-in/help/account/if-you-forgot-your-ea-account-id-or-password/ maybe helps you.
Here are some tips to help make your password, security question, and other account information more secure https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/how-to-maintain-account-security/

Thanks, it worked on my pc. It happened once back in years, I simply "clear history" in Internet explorer then it worked. Thanks a lot "yahel-1".

So ive been getting this error too, at first my game i wouldnt get the error, the game just wouldn't open, id click bf5 origin would minimize after 5 seconds then the play button appears on bf5 again.. talked to origin suppot about this and they made me do a number of things, clear chache, download programs like ccleaner and crap of the sort.. reinstall the game like 5 times, make a new user account on my computer with admin privlages. Nothing.. so then i called them hoping to get better support, the guy on the line pretty much told me to do the same stuff.. after doing some google searches i found that you get locked out of your accoutn for 24 hours and to contact ea to fix this.. which is what i did. The guy was clueless.. he kept making me download and reinstall orgin, sent me links on troubleshooting.. till i read the article to him and then hes like "we tried everything theres no other option.. you cant play the game" lmao wow really? just says i cant play the game anymore theres no fix. Then i told him about the whole acct being locked, since i upgraded my motherboard, reinstalled windows, downloaded bf5 on diff harddrives cause origin was giving me errors (all on the same pc) and he said wait let me put you on hold going to talk to a specialist... then told me to do the same crap he did earlier but this time "dont launch battlefield 5 for 72 hours" when everyone in the forums and even an ign post about the issue says its a 24 hour thing.. so im confused.. do i wait 3 days to open a game thats been working fine or lets say it was playable, because i had to change my CPU and mobo in order to play the game in the first place -.-or do i just wait the 24 hours like most people in the forum have been saying?
also youre not supposed to launch the game or even attempt to till the 24/72 hours are up.

So did this ever get fixed?
I have the same exact issue as the OP.
Tried opening the Anthem demo. Origin would minimize for like 5 seconds and then open back up as if I did nothing. After a couple attempts I got the "Too many computers have accessed this account's..." message.
I really hope I'm not screwed out of the demo period. That would really suck

I have the same issue too with Anthem Demo. I pre-ordered the game and therefore played the VIP demo last week without this issue.
The EA customer support agent on chat was no help either as he was just giving scripted answers and a link to clear cache which I had already gone through and followed.
