sims 4 installation taking super long?

Hi there,

What I did (this has happened to me) is I just paused the download, quit origin then opened it back up and clicked continue download.

It has been 8 hours for me and is only 21% through, Im running/trying to download it on a macbook air. Is that the problem? Also my internet runs pretty well, so I honestly dont know at this point just a waste of 50 dollars I guess.

Super strange but this actually worked for me too!

Um yeah...don't pause and then resume.  Mine went from 51% back down to 38%. >:/

It could be your internet connection because my sims 4 took and hour to download 3% downstairs in my house, but upstairs it took 10 minutes for 20%. All I had to do for it to work was move to a different spot in my house
