too many computers have accessed this accounts version of DisplayName field missing from registry. recently. Please try again later "

so ive been reading around the forums and internet and im supposed to wait 24 hours to play the game? i just want confirmaiton from people that have had this issue too, it started to happen after reinstalling windows when i updated my pc hardware, bf5 was giving me performance issues with my intelcore i7 2600k so i decided to upgrade to the i7 8700k, which meant new motherboard and ram.. i installed origin and got a bunch of issues, first being the game woulnd't even load or give me an error message.. i then changed my modem (spoke with my ISP) and they told me the modem i had was having issues, went to the store changed it and deleted all cache, unisntalled using revouninstall, used ccleaner.. so no traces of origin and bf5 were on my pc...tried downloading again, this time i did get an error message which read

too many computers have accessed this accounts version of DisplayName field missing from registry. recently. Please try again later ".. Did a lot of reading and browsing and found an article on ign.com that ea states your account gets locked for 24 hours after some hardware changes and to call EA support.. so i called EA support and the person i talked with just made me repeat steps i already tried.. till he was like "its a windows problem" i was like how? other games off origin run, the only issue is battlefield 5 and i went on google and read word for word the IGN article as well as some of the forum cases... so then he says let me speak to a specialist.. i wait.. he comes back and says "you have to wait 72 hours" first he gave up and even said "you cant play the game" i asked him what he meant and he said its your PC you cant play it lol.. when i was palying perfectly fine right before the hardware upgrade now i actually meet the recommended requirments after the cpu change, but that made the game worse? anyway EA support really didn't help, i was on the phone for 52 miinutes with this guy and he seemed clueless.. and after every "fix" hed say "i guarantee 100% this will work.. do this" .

Anyway my question is, is this a case where i just wait 24 horus? i know others have had this issue maybe not with this game but with other games on origin after some hardware changes?  or should i listen to this clueless guy and wait 72 hours to play a game i was playing just fine last night.

@FancyZebra1 I have had this after a format or moving my EA games to another SSD big pain in the ... . It is a security issue to keep your account safe. Calling EA help will do nothing like you and @EDK-Rise said they had no clue what was going on as always depending on who you get on the phone.  Sadly it takes 24hrs to get back in your account again  :/ I am building a new PC and putting my old game rig back on win8.1 needless to say I installed windows and steam on the SSD's but did not install Origin yet on the 3rd SSD as I dont want to be locked out of my account for 24hrs just yet. I will do origin etc once my new ram is in and I can install windows as between both my rigs I will get locked out again so I will hold off do both rigs at same time lol

The error message is slightly wrong, it should say Battlefield V not "DisplayName".

Did you do a clean install of Windows when you updated your motherboard?

Have you tried repairing the game in Origin?

well at first i didnt do a clean install of windows 10 after the hardware changes, but then my pc was giving me issues so i decided to go ahead and do the clean install, once i did that is when bf5 started giving me issues, all this happened within the same day, i did reinstall bf5 and moved it to a different harddrive since i was getting "cant install in root directory" or something of the sort.. then when bf5 finaly gave me an error msg rather then just not opening.. thats the message i got, it hasn't been 24 hours yet so i havn't tried to launch the game, but ill let you guys know if it fixes itself within the 24 hours.

the thing is i installed origin and i installed a random game just to see what would happen, installed crysis 3 same hard drive and off of origin and the game worked perfectly fine, no error msg or anything, now i tried bf5 off that harddrive and i get the error msg. so i dont think its an origin as a whole thing maybe just the game you were playing before? since it detects that game as being on multiple computers

@FancyZebra1 Cool It  should start to work again after 24hrs and I always get it with a new ssd or the last time more then one format. Makes me nuts lol. I did see a video on how to bypass this with bios settings but never used it as I did not want to muck up my bios and risk losing  my Manual overclock on my CPU. If I ever find the video again I will pass it to you.

@FancyZebra1 I think unless one is a gamer and has gone though it they just don't know what is going on and that is fair enough. As it is not a common known security back up for our accounts,  I just wish they would make it so we could unlock our accounts sooner somehow.

I use nvidia GeForce  now, and today I encountered this problem please fix this because now I can’t play any games on origin. And yes I have looked at every single form and nothing helps
