patching files

Hello!

Apex Legends' new season has just released, but I'm having trouble downloading the update. I play on PC from Origin. 

When i go to download the update, everything starts out normal, but it stops at about 85%. It says it is ''patching files''.

I tried pausing and resuming it a couple times, but that didn't work. I even restarted the update, but nothing changed.

Also, i'm pretty sure I have enough space in my disk. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Hey @SkinnyLego, can you ensure that you are running Origin as administrator and that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open.

The ports to open are:

• TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
• UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.

If so can you also ensure that you have enough free HD space for the update and give it a little time to finish.

I did all of this and still cannot download past 88%. I already redownloaded it once. What now?

Have you ensured that you have enough free space on your system for the update @BaronVonAir?

Generally, you would want twice as much free space as the download and game install size.

@SkinnyLego Heres what I did and worked for me. I opened Command Prompt by typing "cmd" in the search bar and ran as administrator. After that I typed the command "netstat -ab". I kept that opened and let it run and it just started downloading after everything loads.
