I've downloaded and installed Origin of the net. Everything seems fine until I try open it. Nothing happens until I go to Taskmanager and see it's taking up 80% of my CPU and still nothing. please help but I have no knowledge of computers.

From where did you download Origin?
This is where you should have downloaded from: https://www.origin.com/irl/en-us/store/download

Hi, I am also getting the same problem. It began after it tried to update (03rd December). I have already tried fully uninstalling and reinstalling the client, did no work. 100% CPU usage: https://imgur.com/a/gmvJxcU
EDIT: 3 hours later... I managed to fully delete Origin from my PC, even the registry keys, literally everything. The classic clean boot, plus the safe mode with internet restart. I don't think users should be put through this, as I saw many also having to go through painful experiences just to install the client. Guess I am lucky this time. But it is not the first time. "Cannot connect to EA servers" and so on also haunts players. Well, that's it for now. Wish this comment helps other people.

Okay, some more troubleshooting...
If your issue persists, please post your Dxdiag report here so we can take a look, thanks.
