origin does not work

Hi, I've been having this error at least since last month. When I open Origin it appears an error message with a grey wallpaper saying the following: 'Well, that didn't go as planned. Origin encountered an issue loading this page. Please try reloading it - if that doesn't work, restart the client or try again later". 

Of course, I reloaded the page countless times as I restarted Origin and tried so many times but it's still the same every time I open it.

I also reported this issue back in August when it was clear that this error was staying even with the new patches of Origin. 

You can find the screenshots regarding this error and the two times that I reported this issue and didn't get an answer back.

I hope someone can help me because I am not able to do anything. I was lucky somehow to pin the Sims 4 game to the program because if I hadn't..., you can imagine.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues @missladycartier.

When this issue occurs you can often fix it if you take a couple of minutes to go through the following steps:

• Close Origin completely by right clicking the Origin system tray icon and selecting Exit.
• Make sure Time/Date is correctly set on the PC
• Make sure Origin is authorized by your anti-virus and firewall
• Reset Internet Explorer Settings
• Untick the options in LAN Settings ( make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server )
• Clear Origin Cache Data
• Reset the Windows Host File
• Reboot your computer. Now right-click Origin and select Run as administrator
• If still unresolved, please do a clean boot

Hey all, this error points to a system issue.

Is it possible to create a new Windows admin account and try Origin there to see if you see the game issue pop up?
