origin crashes

Everytime I open The Sims 4 it says that it needs an update so I press update and origin just closes Halp!!

Hey @xisabelle06 can you ensure that you are running Origin as administrator and that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open.

The ports to open are:

• TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
• UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.

So how do I "open ports"?

Hey @DPA2020 if you search your router online you will find step by step guides on how to open them, if unsure you can always speak with your ISP who will be able to guide you through it or open them fo you on their end.

I have the same problem, origin crashes!

I tried to update sims 4, and move sims 3 from C to D by clicking move, and then it crashes everytime I open origin?

I just bought three new games, so this is bad..

Help?
