my origin will not update my sims 4

i have uninstalled and reinstalled origin but it wouldn't update my game and i can not play it since i can not update it. i have windows 10

My sims 4 game won't update to the new patch.

It says 'there is a new content available, but origin won't update it automaticly. And i don't know how to update it myself.

Also, the game doesn't work because i have to update it first.. which doesn't happen.

Please help!! I want to play the sims 4 again!!

I have already re-installed Orgin.

I have already clicked on the optoin, 'check updates'

But it doesn't do anything..

Pleaaase help me!

Please try the steps in the order below:

1. Manually uninstall Origin
2. Run CCleaner
3. Restart your router/modem and do a Clean Boot 
4. Make sure that your UAC is enabled and set to notify
5. Download the latest version of Origin and install the client - make sure to run the set up file with Admin rights
6. Add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports
7. When starting Origin, please make sure to run it as Administrator

After this please try updating the game again.

Hi, 

When i open origin and try to launch the sims 4 its just not working. I cant press the button 'play'. I did try to actualize but still nothing :/ 

Does anyone can tell me what to do? i cant play

Could you please try uninstalling and reinstalling Origin? Then check if the Play button becomes available.

you need to right click on the game on orgin >>> repair game. worked for me

I am having a weird Sims 4 problem as well.  I've been playing for about 3 hours today.  All of a sudden, Sims 4 just shut down.  Then when I tried to re-launch it, I get to the Play button, and then instead of taking me to the neighborhood, it takes me to the Create A Sim page and tells me that my previous save was saved in a newer version of Sims 4 than I have installed and tells me that I need to update Sims 4.  But my Sims 4 appears to be up to date.

ETA:  I've also already tried uninstall/reinstall Origin, Uninstall/reinstall Sims 4, and Repair.

I keep getting error code 196632:0 when trying to update the sims 4. It says download failed. I have uninstalled and tried again. I have also done everything you have suggested but still it doesn't work. I would like to play the game that I paid 60 dollars for. Please help me. I have tried everything I need real assistance. Not just more things I can try I need someone to help talk me through this. I have also gone online and tried everything they said. It is an internal problem on your behalf. I need HELP?!!! NOT SUGGESTIONS

it's still doesn't work and it's really annoying as i can't play! The game was so much better before we had origin when we just had to put the disc....
