When I tried to open origin is gave me the 'msvcp140.dll is not found' error, I uninstalled origin. I've already tried downloading the x64 and x84 and I've restarted my computer more times than I can count and I downloaded msvcp140.dll and put it in my system32 file, since I have 64bit, I've done a sfc /scannow in Command Prompt (Admin) but nothing works so far. I have a HP computer and I played the sims 4 just last night; please let me know if you have any other ways to fix it

We are looking for Origin Error Reports to investigate. Check >here< how to create an Error Report. Please post your report ID in this thread once it has been generated.
Hey @iiTsunaii this issue can be caused by running an out of date or corrupt VC++ installation. It can be resolved by manually running the installer from the Origin installation folder - the default location for this folder is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
From this folder, run one of both files:
If you get the message that the files are already installed, select Repair instead. It is recommended to run the installer as administrator (right-click the file, select run as admin).
You can also find the latest files on the Microsoft website:

Thank you so much for your help, the only problem is I can't find where to repair vcredist_x64_vs2015. Should it show up when I right click it?

Hey @iiTsunaii it should pop up when you double click on the installer.
Did you try to launch it from the existing file or download it from the link I sent?

Again, thanks for the help. My problem with the missing MSVCP140.dll is solved. Lucky for me, now it says VCRUNTIME140.dll is not found, I'm so sorry if I'm bothering you with this; do you have any way to fix this problem?

Can you try downloading and installing the file from this link @iiTsunaii: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685

I downloaded it and put it in my origin folder (I had to replace it with what was already in that file) when I try to install it, it says another version is installed
