We are looking for Origin Error Reports to investigate. Check >here< how to create an Error Report. Please post your report ID in this thread once it has been generated.
Hey @iiTsunaii this issue can be caused by running an out of date or corrupt VC++ installation. It can be resolved by manually running the installer from the Origin installation folder - the default location for this folder is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
From this folder, run one of both files:
If you get the message that the files are already installed, select Repair instead. It is recommended to run the installer as administrator (right-click the file, select run as admin).
You can also find the latest files on the Microsoft website:

Can you let us know if downloading and installing both the x86 and x64 components of the following package helps with this please?

Thanks.

this worked for me. Others have tried to help with a nearly identical file name. This must be the correct version, though. Thank you!

This did NOT work for me. I really want to play Sims 4 as well. I even deleted Fortnite for this, so FIX IT!!!

@Cayley_229539 can you try putting both MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll files into your SysWOW64 folder which you should find here: C:\Windows\SysWOW64

I tried this because I couldn't even run Origin, I no longer got the dll errors but it just said Application error and unable to start program and a memory address ? (0xc000007b)
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).
Click OK to close the application
I just want to run the Unravel demo for my son so we can maybe purchase later......at seven even he said they should get their act together.

@gibletsmasher That error isn't actually an Origin error but rather a Windows error indicating that there is an issue with how Origin was installed. It actually generally points to an issue where the dll files were mixed up between the 32bit and 64bit file location.
The first thing to do is reinstall as with admin rights and try it again.
Let me know how you get on.
