I cant install origin. Every time I try to open it when installing from the main page it says that the application was unable to start correctly how do I fix this?

This may not be a fix but worth trying first.
Try running the installer in compatibility mode. Right click the installer file>properties>compatibility>run this program in compatibility mode for: then choose windows 8 or 7 or try both.

Another option is to run it as administrator.
