Would love to be able to play the games I paid for

★ Novice

It would be nice if you can fix this issue, that I see a lot of other people are having, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be the only one who'd like you to allow your games to be purchased on through other providers (Steam/GOG) whose apps actually work.

This issue is caused not by Origin @Pfloydza but rather by running an out of date VC++ installation. It can be resolved by manually running the installer from the Origin installation folder - the default location for this folder is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin

From this folder, run one of both files:

  • vcredist_x86_vs2015 (for 32bit Windows version)
  • vcredist_x64_vs2015 (for 64bit Windows version)
  •

If you get the message that the files are already installed, select Repair instead. It is recommended to run the installer as administrator (right-click the file, select run as admin).

You can also find the latest files on the Microsoft website:

Thank you so much. I was really wanting to finally play through all 3 Mass Effect games. I really appreciate you taking the time to read it and I am sorry for blaming Origin. I tried doing that but I did the wrong one, the x86 and was supposed to do x64. I'm not the most knowledgeable PC user so I also thank you for the easy to follow directions.

Get Error:327684:1 when trying to instal BF4dlc & Origin error reporter is offLi

[ Edited ]
★★★ Novice

just got BF4 because it was on sale and every time i try to finish installing the dlc for BF4 a "directX setup error: an internal error occurred" pops up and then a Origin error reporter pops up saying Error: 327684:1 and when i click the submit a error report button it starts loading then says "unable to submit report please check your internet connection and try again" even tho my internet connection is just fine

i have searched up and down the internet for solutions and have tried :

  • full uninstall of origin and BF4
  • adding origin to firewall accepted and turning of anti virus
  • updating nvidia drivers
  • Delete all files except, DSETUP.dll, dsetup32.dll, DXSETUP.EXE in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\battlefield4\__Installer\directx\redist folder

none of these have worked and now i dont know what to do please help
