Unlinking my Steam Account

Can someone in EA support please help me out to unlink my Steam account from EA. I literally just linked it less than 30 mins ago to my EA account and my intent was to link my daughters account. Simple and fixable mistake, I thought. I just got off with customer service chat and they said there is no way they can do this. I find that completely ridiculous that the simple unlinking of an account can't be done.

I contacted a representative again and they were able to unlink my account. A completely different conversation than what I had yesterday.
