Hi,
I haven't played the sims since 2017, I read that you have to download the sims 4 legacy edition in the extra content
I have Windows 10, I can not download origin !
" The execution of the code cannot continue because MSVCP140.dll could not be found.... "
tells me to upgrade to Windows 7 or later. how is that possible?

I downloaded Microsoft Visual C + + 2015
And I was able to download origin! 😁

@LetiziaBianco Please make sure you're not running Origin in compatibility mode. It runs just fine in Windows 10, but not in anything earlier than Windows 7 (or macOS 10.9) anymore.
For the missing .dll, it's part of the 2015 VC++ redistributables. If you have them, uninstall them first, then download new versions from Microsoft. Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributables (both x64 and x86), click on each one, and uninstall them. Then download and install these:

Hey @LetiziaBianco.
It sounds like there might be a missing .dll file in Windows. If we can recover that file it should help you get Origin installed.
First I'd recommend downloading the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from the Microsoft Support website. There are files in this package that Origin needs in order to run, so that might help with the error you're getting.
If it's still happening after that check out the Windows System File Checker as well. That should be able to identify if there are missing or corrupted system files and recover them. You can find more info on how to run the tool over at the Microsoft Support Website.
Let me know how that goes when you can. Thanks!

Nice! That's good to hear. How were you able to get it fixed, if you don't mind me asking?
