@whois_sklv Try downloading, or at least redeeming, the free Holiday pack. For players who don't already own that pack, that can usually get around the issue by forcing the Origin/EA version of Sims 4 to be added to the account.

@asterex_mkrksms Are you getting the same error, and if so, does adding the free Holiday pack help you?

@Psudlfjuk Try removing Sims 4 from your Steam library, then adding it within Origin. If that doesn't help, you could unlink your Steam and Origin accounts, then add the game and relink them afterwards, but please only do this if you don't own any other EA games in Steam where you want to preserve the progress.

@puzzlezaddictSo finally it works somehow. I had to unlink accounts, than install free basic version, than link again (from Windows PC, not possible from Mac). Now I have 2 versions of Sims in my Origin library - Steam one still not playable. I can see my bought expansions however it require to install them through steam so I can run only basic game currently

@Psudlfjuk Right, Steam-owned expansions only work with a Steam install. EA support generally doesn't help in these cases either, but you could try contacting support anyway and explaining the issue. Maybe you'll get lucky.
