@Sydnor2008 I had a similar issue with the fact Origin wouldn't open Sims 4. Tried updating Origin, clearing the cache of the Origin files, repairing and re-installing all my packs. In the end, I went to Properties and tried launching Sims 4 in 32 bit instead of 64bit.
Downloading Sims 4 Legacy edition, and playing, then exiting the game, and selecting Sims 4 again in properties seems to work, but all your Sims who aren't saved in your gallery disappear, and the save files are gone.
At this point I'm just glad it's working, I don't care about the ones I forgot to upload to the gallery.
