Stuck on preparing Apex Update. Stay at 4.01GB/36.19GB

I wait for about 1 hour and it keep stuck like this. I already clean the cache and restart my laptop but still stuck. Please is there anything I can do to fix this?

1. cancel update

2. "Application Settings" top menu

3. turn off "Automatic game updates"

4. "Orgin" menu at top and "Exit"

5. start Origin again

6. right click Apex in your Game library

7. select "Repair"

8. done. it'll repair & update your game

Thank you for quick steps to resolve the issue.

Repairing option wasn't there and was wondering how to repair it, since it was the logical step to get out of this stuck loop.

But it will end up downloading files that is around 22gb which is not the update size

And above all i am on metered network so is there any other possible solution for stuck on preparing update issue ??

I can't download Fifa20, after buying it I'm trying to download it but it's stuck on preparing. Help!!!

If the download is stuck @elmaoskakac then you need to ensure that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open.

The ports to open are:

• TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
• UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.

Thank you! I reinstalled origin and I downloaded the game. But now when I open the game after pressing play it shows me a message: " too many computers have accessed this accounts version of DisplayName field missing from registry. recently. Please try again later " How do I fix this ?
