I think while I was cleaning out my files a while ago I deleted all of my EA data, including data for the Sims 4. I then uninstalled it with Origin and tried redownloading so I could get new game files so the game would open. However, it is stuck on "Verifying Game Files" with 0h 0m 0s remaining but no progress on the progress bar. I've tried signing out and then back in, uninstalling then reinstalling Origin, and enabling safe mode. None of this has given me results. What should I do?

@Bluebellflora i use Macbook also to run Origin and to play The Sims 4. I am also having issues with Origin stuck on Verifying Game Files. It has been saying 0 hours 0 minutes and 0 seconds for 4 days now. I have uninstalled Origin, re installed it, cleared cache files, restarted my computer, everything i have seen many times. I tried to do the reset Origin tool you recommended but that also didn’t work. What else should I do to fix this? I just want to be able to play the game again and don’t know what to do.

So since Sunday, Origin has been stuck on Verifying Game Files for my Sims 4 saying 0 hours 0 minutes and 0 seconds. I have uninstalled Origin, cleared cache, restarted my computer countless times. I have also tried to reset Origin for Mac and that didn’t help. I don’t really know what else to do and just really want to play the game. I appreciate all the help I can get.

Origin is installed on my MacBook under downloads. The Sims 4 is downloaded on Origin but it is in my Electronic Arts file. I don’t think the issue is with The Sims 4 but rather with Origin.

@Bluebellflora I cleared all the Origin cache files.
