Download taking a long time Sims 4

Also is anyone finding, that for some reason- when you open your browser it seemingly loads faster? what's up with that?

How can it be my internet when I have no problems with anything else and this is happening to a lot of people

i dont think it is anything to do with connection. my connection is awful and within ten minutes its already on twenty percent. i think it is about how much memory you ave on your computer. you could look into having another RAM installed after it has downloaded

I had a similar issue where it was taking forever to load, after about 5 hours it finally got to 1% but I had my dad access origin as he is the administator of the computer and it really sped up the loading prosscess its been maybe 10-20 minutes now and it went from 1% to 87%

I am currently having this issue and it has taken an hour to get to 11%, which seems only a little faster than what people have been experiencing..... does anyone have any answers?

Same here guys it took mabey 30 min and its at 12 so idk how long its gonna take

8% it's been about 4 hours, was so excited to get it today and now I'm going crazy my wait time keeps changing it told me 8 hours and now 10 hours someone has had to figured this out by now !!! Tried a few things I've read on here but none have worked.

Some of these answers aren't true.

Now, why would I buy a better internet connection for 1 simple game.

Come on people, use common sense.

It has little to do with your internet connection.

It's your ping.

AKA where the download is actually coming from.

It depends on where you are, and where the download is coming from.

So say this download is in Los Angeles and you live in New York.

The ping or speed isn't going to be as fast, as if the download was in New Jersey.

I'm not saying move towards the download.

I am just stating it.

Now if you live close to the download your ping should be pretty good.

If it's not, THEN it could be your internet.

But if you live like 1000 miles away theres your problem.

Theres really no way to improve your ping... Other than moving.

But don't worry.

Several people have this problem.

You aren't alone.

If your download says 300-400 KB/sec you are in good shape.

Any lower, you know the problem.

Otherwise I cant help you

mine only took about 2-8 hours to finish for the sims 2  7 hours for the sims 3 and 73 hours for the sims 4
