Sims 4 not downloading

I'm trying to download The Sims 4 on my Mac and keep getting this error message:

"Origin needs to download files and is waiting for permission. Please choose "Yes" when Windows prompts you for permission."

I have read through forums and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Origin, and the other solutions I find are for Windows computers. 

Any help is appreciated!
