Sims 4 download issue

Whenever I try to play Sims 4, I get the following message -  "A required update for The Sims™ 4 Digital Deluxe is available. Would you like to download the update now?
The game will not be playable until the update is applied."

When I click 'Download' I get the following message - "The Sims™ 4 Digital Deluxe is up to date."

This just keeps going on and on in a frustrating cycle.

I have tried uninstalling origin and re-downloading, but it keeps happening.  Any ideas on how to fix?
