Sims 4 Expansion Packs Download Issues Mac

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me?

I have had the Sims 4 base game for a few months and decided to download an expansion pack during the sale today. However, once the transaction went through, the pack was still available to "buy", rather than saying it had already been bought. When I clicked "buy" again, a message came up saying "You already have this in your game library.  You already have the expansion pack but need the base game to access it". However, I have already owned the base game for several months. I haven't updated to the latest update, but according to FAQ's that I have read, this should not be an issue when purchasing the pack.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Please run the Origin reset tool for macOS:

 

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/

 

And make sure you don't have any proxies enabled:

If these steps don't help, let me know what OS you have.  You can check by clicking the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen and selecting About This Mac.
