Sims 3 wont download

I have the sims 4 downloaded and play with no problem. However after playing the sims 4, my favorite was the sims 3. So I bought the sims 3 starter pack and it will not download. Its upsetting and I would love to play the game. Any advice as to what to do ?

@bboyer970  Does your computer run Windows or macOS, and what version?  Do you get an error when you try to download?  If so, please post a screenshot of it.
