every time i try to click on just sims 3 or even play through origin it will load for a second then pop up with unknown error occured. This has been happening for the past few hours and i just bought the sims 3, the high end loft expansion, and the late night expansion.
i noticed it started happening after i downloaded the expansion packs through origin. please help!

@victoriakay510 The unknown error has several causes, depending on your computer's specs and the packs you've installed. But the solution in your case might be as simple as creating an alias for Late Night in Applications\The Sims 3, alongside the alias for the base game.

I followed the steps in the video, still an uknown error occured right after i open it. I have a macbook air 11 inch early 2014. Im on mojave 10.14.6
please help! even if i have to remove my expansion packs i will.

@victoriakay510 It sounds like you'll need to edit Sims 3's .sgr files to manually add your graphics card. I'd be happy to help with the process, if you want. Please post the full specs of your Mac, along with the device ID of your graphics card. Here's how to find it:

Or, if you see you card on the list, feel free to grab the text for that card and add it yourself. Be sure to complete the edits for both graphicscards.sgr and graphicsrules.sgr, or it won't work.
