Sign In Failure

I signed up for an account just a few hours ago to download the Sims 4. Every time I try to log in, I received a Sign In Failure popup, with the message 'Sign in is currently unavailable. Please try again later.' I have tried clearing Chrome's cache and it does not appear that my computer uses a proxy. Is there an issue going on at the moment? I see that some other people have had this issue and did not have it resolved. It's rather disheartening.

I was nervous about not getting a good response, but support was extremely pleasant and helpful. I downloaded the Origin application and was able to successfully sign in from there, and am now downloading the game I wanted. I'm sorry that I can't be of any more help than that!

I have this issue with the website too though client works fine. The solution is hidden for me.
