Hello. Try this steps:
- use my script for clean of Origin data. Download it (RMB - Save object as...), delete .txt in name and run it as Admin.
- download this installer and run it as Admin
- run Origin as Admin

Thanks for the solution man. U r a life savior.
I am having similar issues, but since ive managed to update (i believe) it's now decided it wont load. I have tried running as admin, closing down, shutting down, restarting, and trying to run it through the internet and not my desktop. Neither Origin or sims will open or load or anything. Not happy!

Just pathetic! How can one release something like that without testing it first. Now I can stuck the bought game upon my a** since this think won´t install!!?? WTF is this 2017 or 1990 ?!?
It is tested and it installs on most computers without problems.
If you want help I would suggest that you start with the solutions provided in this thread.
If that don't helps you should provide a detailed error description.
I just got new internet as well and am experiencing the same issue. Did you ever get your origin to work? What is confusing me is that I was able to log in yesterday and download my games. Later in the day I tried to log in to play but Origin said that I had a critical update and would only log me in offline. I tried to update many times but to no avail.
I wish there was a solution that didn't involve reinstalling. I hope support can find out what the common factor is and fix the problem.
I had the exact same problem but I tried the link that was provided previously and after I clicked on it and it installed, I logged back in and everything was back to normal!
