Been stuck at "Installing the latest version of origin"

I recently bought need for speed payback but it after first few play sessions didnt start at all for days so i asked for refund....couse i want stuff that works not all the time but atleast some :D so year origin doesnt always work :/

How come EA is a worse game company than blizzard? Blizz at least only releases stuff that works

I've been having the same problem for years, origin never updates. But now I couldn't even get online cause it was a critical update.
How did I solve it? I just downloaded origin and installed it, did not uninstall the old origin.
Works fine for me now.

@DarkAmaranth1966 Made sure the processes were not active and was able to install (run as admin) without a reboot. Win 7 Pro.
