Origin using HTTPS for Downloads

i am affected by this change to multiable gaming lounges that i manage . i hope you guys fix this issue as it's not possible to update games using just the internet

Here's a workaround forcing Origin to download from HTTP servers: https://gist.github.com/anadius/f339dc93d530a08071a838dba3fe8c40

It uses Fiddler, so it's client-side. You could do the same with, for example, mitmproxy running in transparent mode but I don't know how this would affect your caching.

you can expect an actual result in 6 months or even more...

they really don't care too much about all this, this requires an answer from the higher ups for them to change it, which they are probably on vacation from all the FIFA Sales.

EDIT: if you have a gaming lounge  you could make a batch file to send the updates manually, not the best idea but no other options at this point.

@Straatford87 Happy to hear. This is definitly the way to go instead of forcing ppl (even in this forum) to other measures like man-in-the-middle and that sort which in turn would compromise security even further.
