@GonvaSQ Hi,
First off, make sure that you are running the Origin Client as administrator, so that it has sufficient rights to create folders and write files on your system partition: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/
Please check out this article here afterwards. We have had reports of downloads reverting when the file system for the partition is set to FAT32. This is due to a limitation, files larger than 4GB cannot be written. Read more about that here: http://help.ea.com/en/article/origin-download-stops/
Other then that, check this article here on how to ensure there is no issue with the connection to our download server: http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-issues-with-origin/#1
Let us know how you get on afterwards.
Thank you,
Nils

Don't listen to EA community managers. They need to just hire people that actually know what they are doing to make these products work.

It's 2019 and this issue still exists. Absolutely disappointing.

Hey all, this is a 3 year old thread you are responding to.
If you are seeing an issue with slow download speeds in Origin then generally this points to a system issue. I tested a number of downloads this morning and was hitting speeds of 40MBs and up.
If you are seeing an issue then can you try the following steps please:
Ensure that the ports to open are:

Please read the discussion before responding. Nobody mentioned download speeds. The thread is about updates getting stuck on the resuming step. For anyone having this issue, In Origin, click the Origin button in the upper left corner. Go offline. Cancel the offending update. Go back online. try again. works every time for me. EA really needs to step it up if the community managers cant even be bothered to read the threads in which they reply.
