Origin stuck on loading screen

I had a different issue before this of not being able to log on because I couldn't connect to the server. I fixed that problem by getting rid of proxies. 

Now I can log on but the program is stuck on the loading screen with the grey square layout, I've included a photo reference. I've already tried the resetting origin for mac route and this hasn't worked. 

this is for a MacBook Pro if that's useful info

@11PANG11  Try running the Origin reset tool again and then manually deleting one more file that is apparently not being removed.  Here are Bluebellflora's instructions:

You can also run the reset, remove the file, and then right-click on the Origin icon in Applications and select Move to Trash.  Then download a fresh copy of Origin and install it.

I have the exact same problem, but mine is a pc windows 10. Looks just the screenshot 11Pang11 showed. Please help. Looks like overlay is gone.
