Origin required computer update when computer is already updated

★★ Novice

So I"m trying to download Sims 4 on my PC. I have been having an issue with Origin. When I go to download, it gives me an error message saying that I need Windows 7 or newer, however, my laptop is currently running on Windows 10??? I checked and did the most recent update available so I'm not sure what else I can do? I attached the error message and am not great with computers

@shelbybouge  Clear Origin's cache, then uninstall it "the hard way."

Download the full installer, not the usual ThinSetup.  Run it as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator."  This is the direct download link:

If you get a different error message, please post a screenshot as well.

So, I was able to now download and open Origin, but now it says that there's an issue and that there's no games on my origin when I know that Sims 4 is already registered with this account. When I clicked on redeem a new code, an error message popped up and didn't let me type anything (image below). I also attempted to download the Sims 4 trial just to kill the time until hopefully it worked, but it had an error message stating that I already had the game, so I know it's on this account
